Dear Colleagues:

Please disseminate this information from the Commission on Higher Education regarding the Scholarships in Teacher Education Programs to Upgrade Teacher Quality in the Philippines Program (STEP UP). The STEP UP is a scholarship campaign implemented by Philippine Business for Education (PBEd). The program aims to produce 1,000 competent and committed teachers ready for public school employment by 2019.

The scholarship is open to all graduates of any Bachelor's degree except BS Education with at least a general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or equivalent in college. Applicants must not be more than 45 years of age at the start of the scholarship date. Applications from the marginalized sectors such as PWD is highly encouraged as the PBEd is in partnership with the National Council for Disability Affairs (NCDA).
